Harper | Cleveland 2010

August 9, 2010

Harper | Cleveland 2010Harper Lee is a four month old labrador/golden retriever puppy. She lives in Chicago with three lovely companions who give her love and care as she explores her world. We were honored to have her with us in Cleveland for a few days. This is a little adventure on the back porch, which will never quite feel the same since her visit.

The music is a garageband original made from passion, repetition and surprises, just like Harper.

Susan Weber | Young Audiences of Northeast OhioThis video samples two performances I offer through Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio: 'A Buckeye Picnic' for grade school students and Early Education program 'Yummy Songs and Stories.'

I produced this promotional piece to show how I integrate storytelling and music with Language Arts and Social Studies in performances, workshops and residencies.

Sam Weber classical guitar solo

May 16, 2010

Sam Weber classical guitar soloSam Weber performs a solo in his senior recital at the Interlochen Arts Academy May 22, 2009.

I used QuickTime Player to resize the 1440 x 1080 original clips into YouTube's recommended 1280 x 720. I later found I could accomplish the same in Voltaic, setting output resolution to 720p in Preferences. This saves time.

Happily, I could do some minor sound editing (deleting a section with a noticable pop) within Premiere Pro.

Interlochen Arts Academy Guitar Ensemble Interlochen Arts Academy Guitar Ensemble performs a senior recital May 22, 2009. This piece is titled 'La vida breve.'

A year ago I got hung up on technical issues including the 640 x 480 pixel frame size and never posted the video. For better or worse, here it is. I see it as a practice piece. The musicians, of course, deserve a much more polished document of their performance.

Art Weber 91

May 16, 2010

Art Weber 91Art Weber shares his 91st birthday with family and friends in northwest Michigan. His grandson Sam provides guitar accompaniment;  his granddaughter Hannah's baby chicks charm the assemblled well wishers.

I used QuickTime Player to resize the 1440 x 1080 original clips into YouTube's recommended 1280 x 720. I later found I could accomplish the same in Voltaic, setting output resolution to 720p in Preferences. This saves time.

My goal here was to put together a quick video for those who couldn't be present while getting back into video editing after some time away.
