What is Muscle and Bone?

Accomplished performers and songwriters in their own right, Susan Weber and Walt Campbell formed the acoustic/electric duo Muscle and Bone to honor the rich legacy of American poet and musician Bob Dylan. Their name describes the nature of the music they play - pure Dylan, pared to the essence.

“The harmonies clinch it for me. These are two people who were meant to make music together. Of course there is a risk in taking on a body of work of that stature, but they meet it admirably,” says one music critic.

Their two voices and simmering electric bass and acoustic guitar, with sometimes silvery, other times cast-iron harmonica bring the songs seamlessly to life, often leaving audiences spellbound and hungry for more.

For  those familiar with Dylan's canon and for newcomers as well, Muscle and Bone's debut CD, Muscle and Bone: Songs of Bob Dylan features six Dylan classics. Recorded live in the studio, the sound on record is what is heard from the stage. A full length recording, Muscle and Bone: Bob Dylan Masterpieces is set for release in 2013.
