Tell me about RSS feeds for this site.

RSS is a format for delivering regularly changing web content to whoever wants it.  Feed Reader or News Aggregator software allow you to grab the RSS feeds from Susan Weber | the necessary work of art and get web content you want (for example, blog posts, as they are published) delivered to your reader automatically.  You can read more about RSS here.

This site has an easy way to subscribe using any feedreader.  In the 'STAY CONNECTED' section to your right, click on this icon:

When you sign up with a feed reader, you will be asked for the feed URL of the web content you want.  If you want to subscribe to new blog content from this site, our blog's feed URL is one of these (your feed reader will specify which it prefers):

feed://www.susanweber.com/blog/1/feed
http://www.susanweber.com/blog/1/feed

It's easy to get feed URLs for other content that changes here.  For example, if forum content (ie. artist process) or individual tags (ie. creativity) interest you, add that subscription to your reader as well. Just look for the RSS icon that looks like this:

There are two places to find this icon for the parts of the site you want to subscribe to.

1.  At the bottom of a page (ie. blog or forum).

2.  The SITEMAP, where you will see RSS icons next to our site's content (scroll down to the bottom of the Sitemap to see all the icons).

Either way, you then click the orange icon. Your browser window will show you the content you've chosen for your feed reader.  Now copy the URL from the address bar at the top of your browser.  Paste it into your RSS reader just as you did when subscribing to the new blog content.

Another easy way to find out about new blogposts here is FeedBlitz, which sends you alerts by email.

FeedBlitz monitors Susan Weber | the necessary work of art blogposts, figures out what's new and sends the updates to subscribers by email.  Click here to learn more and subscribe to this service.
